ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kara grew up with an artistic nature and has been painting since she was a child.  Aside from painting, she also enjoys creating custom murals and floral sculptures. 

 

Residing in southern Louisiana, you can find her  creating in her personal studio-gallery in the historic district of downtown Covington.

 

While Kara has learned techniques over the years by interfacing with fellow artists from around the world, she is self-taught and enjoys using a combination of acrylic paints, pigment powders, mixed medias, recycled glass particles, natural crystals, and resin to develop her pieces.

 

Each piece she creates is unique, having a depth that will engage your curiosity and get you to look deeper with every view.
